Do you like to sing?
The Sounds of Hope, the parish’s adult choir, is recruiting new members (minimum high school age) to sing at the 9:30 AM Sunday liturgy and other special liturgies during the coming year. If you like to sing, even if you do not have previous choral experience, try us out! While voices in all sections are welcome, altos or tenors are especially needed.
The choir rehearses each Wednesday evening in the Ministry Center from 7 to 9 PM. Rehearsals begin on September 3rd and the choir sings through Father’s Day in June. Come join us or for more information, contact Fred Grodecki, the music director, after a weekend liturgy or by phone at (773) 693–5769.
Children’s Choir
The Voices of Hope, the children’s choir of Our Lady of Hope Church, is looking to reorganize this year. Members should be between the ages of seven and twelve and have good reading ability. The group will rehearse each Wednesday beginning September 3rd from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Ministry Center. The group sings either at the 5:00 PM Saturday or 11:00 AM Sunday liturgy on the average of twice a month. The choir also sings at special liturgies such as Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve at 4:00 PM. For more information or to sign your child(ren) up for the group, contact Fred Grodecki, the music director, at (773) 693–5769.
Musicians Needed
The music ministry is looking for competent musicians to assist in the music ministry. Any musicians from age 14 and up are welcome. In particular, string, woodwind and brass players are needed. Musicians who play the piano or organ should have good sight reading skills and ability to play four-part hymns. Involvement will be based on musical skills, liturgical need and availability. For more information, contact Fred Grodecki, the music director, after a weekend liturgy or by phone at (773) 693–5769.
