Curriculum
Level 1 – 6 Blest Are We Faith & Word RCL Benziger
This curriculum builds on the previous years of catechesis and forms a gradual process through which children are led to a greater understanding and identification of Catholicism. This journey invites the young disciple into a relationship with the living presence of Christ uniting them with the worshipping Church and community.
A Home Connection Family Time page is sent home from every lesson.
Jr. High Connect Series RCL Benziger
Active lessons involve young teens in uncovering concepts of our faith and discovering what it means to be Catholic. Four themes are studied in small group workshops each year. By the completion of JH all eight themes will have prepared these young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Their final year of formation will follow JH.
Themes include:
Being Catholic, Sacraments & Prayer, The New Testament, Who is Jesus, Trinity & the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Creed, Morality & Sexuality and Peace & Justice.
Scripture
Sunday readings for the following weekend are incorporated into every lesson.
Children's Worship Bulletins are studied in levels 1-6 and sent home for families to share.
LTP Celebrating the Lectionary is used in junior high to make a connection between scripture and life as a young teen.
