Reconciliation

Reconciliation is about God’s love and forgiveness.  Catechesis for the Sacrament of Reconciliation begins in level 1 as children start to look at the choices they make in their daily lives and evaluate them as loving or unloving acts.

The Sacramental Program for Reconciliation is held in the fall with level 4 children.  We invite children in grades 2 and 3 to prepare for and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, if parents feel their child is mature enough to understand the meaning of the sacrament. 

In religious education children who have not yet celebrated this sacrament experience forgiveness through a simple, yet meaningful, Sorry Service at their age level.

Congratulations to the following children who celebrated their first reconciliation on December 11.  May this be the beginning of a greater relationship with God.
